T.10.2 - Replacement effects can be identified by the word "instead".
Obviously, both effects are replacement effects that affect a card draw.
T.10.10 - If two or more replacement effects attempt to modify the same event in contradictory ways, the player who is being affected, or who controls the affected permanent, or who owns the affected card that is not in play chooses the order to apply them.
I choose the order how to apply the effects when it's my turn and my opponent can not force me to skip the draw by paying 2 life. I will gain 5 life every turn (or 10 by adding a Howling Mine).

Very nice. For 1 colorless you gain 3 life and keep your opponent from drawing a card. Just hope he isn't playing with a lot of flashback.

Zur's Wierding is an interesting card.

This combo could make an interesting deck...

I'll make up for the last rating. Good combo, some people just don't read things correctly. Your not drawing a card because of words not wierding so the opponent doesn't have a chance to pay the two life.

This was deleted and reposted specifically so people would understand it. Yet, some still don't...

When the draw phase comes up, you're supposed to draw a card, and both enchantments should trigger. Since you're affected by both, you choose which applies first. If you choose Weirding (which would be just plain nutty), then yes, your opponent can pay the 2 life and prevent the draw. You then have no card to draw and can't gain life from Words. But if you choose to trigger Words first, you replace the draw, gain 5 life, and Weirding never triggers because there's no draw.

This is some great exploitation of replacement effects, that doeswork.

Good combo, but with Future Sight out you dont have to draw at all. So, weirding doesnt effect you.

Very good but very old. People were trying to break this combo in T1 as soon as Words of Worship were printed.

This sure was worth reading...
This is a great deck to make with a nice 2-card combo that shouldn't be too hard to get out!

Guess what, Khahan?

1. Flashback was a keyworded ability in Odyssey block.
2. Odyssey block will leave T2 on December, 1.
3. A deck centered around this combo requires next to zero cards from Odyssey block (though a Devoted Caretaker Buy in the SB may be helpful

Now can you imagine such a deck rocking the scene in the upcoming T2 season??
Not mentioning that it's the perfect antidot to Underworld Dreams Buy, which I expect to be one of the cards to make it big time in OBC/MIR-Type2.

I've had the same idea and have built a deck around this combo already, and I have quite some expectations...

No offence but, add future sight and it will be just like a deck idea/combo that magicthegathering.com had a while back. But it is a fun combo to play
and so far it can only hit off turn 4 at best to lock assuming they don't have a disechant type card.

What happens when the opponent has no cards left in their library? Do they deck or does something weird happen?
