What's a Sideboard?

How it Works

something me and a friend have been playtesting. close to finished, but still needs some refining. any help would be great. basic idea is a more varied control game with a nice amount of aggro. the control elements let u select the tempo of the game more than dominate yur opponent. the real logic to this build is that few decks can handle discard, permission, and aggro all at once (and the trial runs of this are proving this theory correct). the only serious weakness in this deck- besides chosing yur control wisely- are board sweepers like pyroclasm and the such. wrath isn't as big of a threat because it'll take a min to drop one, but quick blanket damage can ruin u.
wins ratio: 57-18-1

card logic

Shadow Lance Buy: better than jitte for aggro play. cheaper, gives first strike, dusn't require u to hit em for any bonus. not that great for a control game, but i have support fire for that.

Castigate Buy: try to play this one early. saves counterspells for more pressing matters.

Azorius Herald Buy: unblockable, gives 4 life. need any other reasons?

Shrieking Grotesque Buy: flies, discards. nice package IMO.

Umezawa's Jitte Buy: yes, the deck has more power with this in, but i object to this card as it is ludacris. it's only in there to kill other jittes and save yur ass from speedy gonzalez wanna-be lil punk-ass aggro decks.

anything not listed should be obvious. constructive critism is what i'm looking for here, and anything helpful will net u atleast 2 rates.

oh, and if u suggest sumthin, tell me wut to cut to fit it in.

i've been lookin into Spirit Link Buy for a hot minute, and i can't decide if it fits... bob usually takes a huge chunk outta my life, so this would be cool for regaining health (especially with shadow lance), but it's also a badass way to make a scary creature useless...atleast till the opponent mortifies it or sumthin. iono, help here would be awesome- and please tell me wut u think i should drop for it if u think it deserves a spot.
