How it Works
Really wierd deck, but fun, plus I love Sea Drake and it works wonders in here. Pulling out a Fastbond is kind of game over. Card draws like Gush and counters like Daze are abused to all hell with Lotus Cobra and being able to cast Lightning Angel. The token Stasis is great lockdown, and it's easy to pay the upkeep in this deck for as long as you need it. Since the angels don't tap, you can do a lot of damage. Stasis, combined with Quirion Ranger and Tropical Island is the coolest combo in here. Tap the trop to pay the upkeep on Stasis, untap the ranger, or any other creature, to return the Trop and replay it. It's infinite stasis with a ton of synergy recasting the trop for any landfall ability and, more importantly, Horn of Greed. Undiscovered Paradise has the same affect with the horn and cobra. It doesn't look like much, but, like all my other decks, there is a whole lot more to it and is complicated to play. You find yourself drawing and casting ususally between 5-8 spells late game (typically about 5 or 6 turns in if you have a Horn of Greed out).
The Sunder is crazy good with Fastbond, Expolorations, Horn, Cobra, etc., and Seismic Assault can be used for lethal damage with things like Daze, Quirion Ranger, Undiscovered paradise, and above all Sea Drake. Casting Drake and essentially two uncounterable Shocks for 3 mana is awesome. Balance is used and abused as usual, mainly as an armageddon affect. the whole deck works together. There really aren't any stand alone cards. They serve their purpose by themselves, but anything thereafter just gets crazy.
The sideboard isn't really a sideboard. It's more of a list of cards with potential that I sometimes swap for to change it up a bit.
